7/12/2020 0 Comments 2020 Season CancelledIt saddens us to inform all our participants and sponsors that the 2020 PEAK season will not be proceeding as planned.
The PEAK Board places the health and safety of all participants and staff as the highest priority and therefore as Victoria sits on the cusp of a second wave of COVID-19 cases, we see no other option than to cancel the 2020 Season. For the protection of all involved. We look forward to seeing all the 2020 participants in 2021, with their position being held over for whatever 2021 brings. Please keep your uniform in excellent condition, so you can use it again when we start up. If you are a top age participant, you will still be welcome in 2021. Whilst it saddens us to have to make this decision, we are excited by the prospects of what the PEAK program will look like in 2021. 3/1/2020 0 Comments 2020 - Session 21st March saw us hold our 2nd session of the 2020 PEAK season 2/16/2020 0 Comments 2020 Season LaunchOur 2020 Season launched on a beautiful Sunday morning. We expanded our competition to include a girls team, which now sees us field 3 teams. 11/16/2019 0 Comments Presentation Day 2019Our Presentation Day was a great way to congratulate our participants, celebrate the end of our first year and thank our sponsors.
Jack Boulton was deserved winner of the Most Valuable Participant in honour of Corporate Cameron Baird VC MG. Collingwood legend Rene Kink was our guest speaker and gave our squad some great advice about the importance of respect and some insights into life as a footballer in his era. We had an abundance of raffle prizes from the Monster Draw and presented our sponsors with special mementos, reflecting their support of the PEAK Program. 4/24/2019 0 Comments ANZAC Day - 2019On ANZAC Day our squad marched as one in remembrance of those who have fought for our freedoms. A member of the Under 14s and Under 16s squad laid the wreath on behalf of PEAK. 25 squad members were elected for sign bearing duties. The remaining members marched as part of the parade to the Cenotaph. So proud of our PEAK squad, who volunteered over 2 days to sell ANZAC Day pins, who were out in full force on ANZAC Day for the march and service. Lest We Forget.
Our session included jumper presentation by PEAK Ambassador, Nick Morris. Nick is a Paralympian, Wangaratta born & bred and a graduate of the local junior football league. Nick shared some words of wisdom with participants on the key attributes of successful leaders. Stewart Kreltszheim led a very engaging presentation on Kokoda. Ash Power from the RSL outlined our participation in ANZAC Day. The kids then took the field for their first football session, training with commitment and enthusiasm.
